Welcome to the Pilgrims Rest Baptist Church web-site! We are a growing Southern Baptist church located in Ware, Missouri (just a few miles west of De Soto, Missouri-approximately 35 miles south of St. Louis). As Southern Baptists, we believe, preach, and teach the bible as it is written.

Bro. Chad Hodges has been the pastor of Pilgrims Rest Baptist Church for over 2 years. Bro. Chad graduated from Missouri Baptist College in St. Louis, Missouri with a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies. Before coming to Pilgrims Rest, Bro. Chad served several churches in St. Louis and Jefferson counties, including service to the Jefferson Baptist Association and the Missouri Baptist Convention. Bro. Chad's special biblical/religious interests include the History of the Reformation (and its Theology) and Church History. Bro. Chad is married to his wife of almost 6 years, Joann, with whom he has two children, Nate and Abby. Pilgrims Rest Baptist Church is Bro. Chad's first pastorate.

It is hard to believe it is May already. It seems like just yesterday, I was waking up Christmas morning to watch my children open presents. As I look back over the last few months, I see the work that God has been doing in our lives. We have seen our attendance increase, and have seen several decisions made over the last several weeks. We did well, in our Sunday School Challenge this year. We had an average attendance of 94. (Although we still lost!!!) We are closer than ever to having our new worship center completed. Friends, I am excited about what I see God doing in my own life as well as in the life of our Church. I can't wait to see what He is going to do this week.
