Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none
other name under heaven given among men, whereby
we must be saved. Going to church is an act of worship, and in
the Bible there is Public Worship. Theodore Rooselvelt said,
"You will not worship God anywhere, until you finally worship
him somewhere at a particular place and at a particular time.
It was cold, the club house we had dug out by the side of the
French Broad River. The fires had long been extinguished and
we lay inside this man boy made cave. One by one, the members
of our group rolled up their blankets and quitely slipped away.
I turned to my brother Walter, and told him I was going home,
it was pitched dark and several miles from our home. As my older
brother always said, "You go on home, I'm going to stay." I thought,
"Well, I've had all I want of trying to stay warm inside this water
logged mansion, you stay if you want to, I'm out of here."
I took off toward home, leaving Walter to do what Walter
had always done, take it a step further than I would.
When I got home, sneaking in, I longed to crawl up in that
old feather bed and get under those thick covers and lay there
until I heard Mom say, "It's morning time, it's morning time,
time to get up." but, that would not be, as soon as I pushed
open that old wooden door, Mom said, "Where's Walter!"
Well, I told her, and she said, "Let's go get him."
No bed for me, off we went through the cold darkness,
until we got to the dugout and discovered, no Walter.
He had left, and by now he was curled up in that warm bed,
while we were out in the cold.
Mom, gave us a lot of liberty, but one reason for her to be concerned,
and she was out looking for us to bring us back home safe.
Mom, and Jesus have a lot of simalarities, He's always out looking for us,
and when He has found us, He's always looking out for us.
My mom has gone to be with Jesus now, but she left behind
the simple old old story of Jesus and His love, of Jesus and
His glory, of Jesus the Great Shepherd and we who go astray
know that He is always mindful of our needs, and He will go after you
and find you when everybody else wants to just be comfortable.
Thanks be unto Mom's, and thanks be unto God who
gives us grace and mercy through His son, Jesus Christ.

for those of the churches of Dequincy, and the world who also are in need
of your speaking to God on their behalf.
Pray for the need at Northside for workers especially the youth department
Pray for the preacher as he prays for the church, and is led to the needs
of the community and the church.
Pray for the preacher as he desires to be led of the Lord, delivering His
message and the selection of His word for each service.
Pray for those who are considering making Northside their church home.
Pray for our country, and our world in this most unstable times.
Pray for the people of Dequincy, that God would work a work in this
city and area, bringing the lost to Christ, and the saved to church.
