Welcome to Hillcrest Baptist Church. Our desire is to minister to you and your loved ones and to help strengthen your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
We trust you will find our Web site informative and inspirational. Please contact us with questions or comments and join us in person as we serve the Lord together.

These are exciting times at Hillcrest Baptist Church: people are joining, getting saved and baptized; families are visiting. We have just completed a successful Vacation Bible School with over 200 children, ages 3 thru grade 5. We look forward to the VBS for Youth in August for grades 6-12. On the first of August, our youth mission team to Romania will be returning to the U.S. I know God has mightily used them to make a difference in that part of the world for His Kingdom.
We congratulate Roger Jones on becoming our Associate Pastor and Martha Jones becoming our Children’s Director. We look forward to seeing God continue to use them in ministry at Hillcrest. Our church is certainly blessed by having the Jones’ family ministering with us.
God has greatly blessed our church, and as you hear me often say: "with blessings come responsibility and accountability." Therefore, we must continue to be faithful to His Word, His mission for the church, and responsive to the opportunities He places in our path to minister, teach, and witness. It is important for all of us to do our part, working together to make a difference.
Please look for places where you might serve. Listen as the Holy Spirit places burdens on your heart. Only then will Hillcrest Baptist Church truly be the church God has called us to be.
See you at the "difference" place.
In Christ's Love, Doug

DISCIPLESHIP CLASS: "Gripped by the Greatness of God"
Wednesday night, September 3 thru October 22 Facilitated by Ginger Caffey
in the Victory in Jesus classroom; $10 for the workbook
How do we understand a power and a love that has no limits? Using selected passages from Isaiah, author James MacDonald seeks to reveal the sovereignty, holiness, grace, and glory of God. Awed by His greatness, as participants come to recognize each of the matchless attributes that characterize God, they will also be led, naturally, to a renewed heart of worship.
Sign-up using the form in the bulletin beginning August 10.
"All For the Glory of God" with Damaris Carbaugh
Damaris is a talented musician who has been a featured solist with the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir and can often be seen on the "Day of Discovery" television program. She shared with our WEM team, "I recently spoke at a ladies’ conference and feel like the Lord is leading me to elaborate on my testimony. My purpose for doing this is to clarify how I was made to glorify God. Until that became my ambition I was living in total disobedience and yet completely unaware of it! I truly feel there are many who do not quite grasp that every single aspect of our daily, mundane, and normal lives must be to do what the Apostle Paul urges us to do in 1 Corinthians 10: 31: So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all for the glory of God."
You will not want to miss this exciting conference that will inspire you to live "All for the Glory of God." Tickets, which go on sale in August, are $20, and include a continental breakfast and lunch.

ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL ~ 9:45 a.m.
A new Sunday School class for singles will begin on SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 7, at 9:45 am, beginning with a DVD study, "Single and Satisfied," by Tony Evans. A lot of singles today are emotional basket cases because they can’t find anybody. The Bible’s advice to those who are desperately hunting for a mate is simply, "stop." Instead, invest the same energy in growing close to the Lord. He knows far better where your wife or husband is than you do. In this impactful series for Christian singles, Dr. Evans encourages singles to wait on the Lord while working for the Lord as they become more wedded in the Lord.
