What must you do to be saved?
- Admit
you are a sinner. “For all have
sinned and come short of the glory of God”. Romans 3:23
- Realize
that there is a punishment for your sins. “The wages of sin is death”.
Romans 6:23
- Understand
that Jesus came to earth to save you from your sins. “While we were yet sinners, Christ
died for us.” Romans 5:8
- Understand
that you cannot earn your way into heaven by your good deeds. “For by grace are ye saved through
faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not of
works…” Ephesians 2:8
- You
must believe in the Lord Jesus Christ.
“that whoever believes in Him shall not
perish but have eternal life”. John
3:16
- You
must confess. “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart
that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt
be saved.” Romans 10:9
Why not pray the following prayer right now? If you do and mean it in your heart, you will
be ready to go to heaven.
“Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner. I believe that You
died for my sins and rose again on the third day. Please forgive me for my sins and come into
my life and save me. Thank you for
saving me. Help me to live a life from
now on that is pleasing to You in every way. Amen.”
