are, how eloquent you may be, it doesn't
matter how big the church is that you go to.
You may be rich or you may be poor, but
God who is no respecter of persons, sees
you as He sees anyone else, someone that
He loves, and special enough to have let
His son die for you, so you could along
with everybody else be with Him in heaven.

sending more than 7,000 missionaries to 180 countries around the world.

Northside Baptist is only miles from the Gulf Of Mexico, and just across the
line from Texas. We are a church in the cradle of hospitality, in the warm
and friendly town of Dequincy, LA. Our mission is the same that is commanded
in the New Testament, the words that is the universal anthem of Christianity,
and that is to reach the world with the Gospel of good news of a merciful God,
and a free salvation, paid for by the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ.
We here, at Northside begin in Dequincy, and on into Lake Charles LA. Across
to the redwood forest, to the great Atlantic Ocean and extending on to the uttermost
parts of the earth. We unite with our brothers and sisters in the SBC, to accomplish
a work impossible with Northside, but possible through God, and the cooperation
of mission minded churches in the Southern Baptist Convention.
Our Vision
"To glorify God by introducing people to Jesus as Savior, training them in Christian
living and sending them out to represent Christ in the world."
Jesus said to the church at Laodicea, "Here I am! I stand at the door and knock.
If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him,
and he with me" (Revelation 3:20).
 
Do you have to go to church to be saved?
The answer is no, you have to go to Jesus
to be saved!
Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none
other name under heaven given among men, whereby
we must be saved. Going to church is an act of worship, and in
the Bible there is Public Worship. Theodore Rooselvelt said,
"You will not worship God anywhere, until you finally worship
him somewhere at a particular place and at a particular time.
John 6:27 Labor not for the things which perishes, but for those things which endures unto
everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him has God the Father sealed.
When it's all said and done, it's all said and done, "where your treasure is, there will be your
heart also." God made us to do two things, work and worship. Sometimes we put the cart
before the horse, Mama used to say, sometimes we are really dedicated to the work ethic,
and lazy with our worship, on the other hand, there are those who do the opposite, worship
God, but don't expect me to do anything. God create walk hand in hand with work and worship.
The Bible teaches us to lay up, invest in heaven, it teaches us that we should never get weary
from our labor of love, and that in time we will reap.
This country was made by hard working hands, hands that were not afraid of getting dirt behind
the fingernails or to have sweat on the brow. This land is said to be the land of opportunity, to
work and to worship. We may not have the best postion at our job, and we may not be treated
as fairly as we would like, but there is somebody, somewhere, who would beg to have the job
that you have. Who, you are through Christ and what you have done for Christ Jesus is the
only thing that will hang around prevail after we have gone. So why not try being that hard
working man for Jesus as you would for that green back dollar, why not invest in worship like
you would getting ahead down at the plant. It all pays off in really big dividends when we
invest in the Kingdom of God. Jesus said that "He worked while it was day, because the night
was coming, the time was coming when there was no more work that could be done."

Pray for those in our church, who are sick, injured or discomforted, pray
for those of the churches of Dequincy, and the world who also are in need
of your speaking to God on their behalf.
Pray for the need at Northside for workers especially the youth department
Pray for the preacher as he prays for the church, and is led to the needs
of the community and the church.
Pray for the preacher as he desires to be led of the Lord, delivering His
message and the selection of His word for each service.
Pray for those who are considering making Northside their church home.
Pray for our country, and our world in this most unstable times.
Pray for the people of Dequincy, that God would work a work in this
city and area, bringing the lost to Christ, and the saved to church.
